Hey, all you necrofowliacs! Welcome to the next installment of this “Dead Duck” episode, “AIN’T NO CURE FOR A SUMMERTIME BRUISE!” Here’s your trivia fix:
- This page was another example of my stubbornness as a cartoonist. I could have digitally copied and pasted the top panel three more times, and just re-drawn the characters in each panel. But I was convinced that a “good” cartoonist would re-drew the panel each time. It turned out fine, but it was time consuming, and in the end, I wish I would have sucked it up and just used the technology I had at my disposal.
- “Guess that little guy just wanted it more” was a loose paraphrasing of a Homer Simpson line, though I can’t recall what the context or episode was that used it.
- Because of the repetition of this page, I don’t have much more trivia to share on it. if you’re a fan of my more lengthy bouts of trivia, my apologies. if you prefer brevity in your trivia, then you’re welcome.
See you on the next page!

As an ‘old’ fashioned guy, I appreciate the effort—reminds me of the good ol’ days. I never cared for ‘synthesized music—I like the real stuff!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks! I try to go the extra mile with my comics, even if I’m the only one who notices the effort!
This does explain Ducky’s ability to survive a nymphomaniac golem.
He is resilient!
I like the collective look of surprise on The Unholy Three in the last panel.
Thanks! When I drew it, I just felt that even they’d be prone to squirming at the idea of an eel biting someone’s junk, even though they were the cause of it.
