- Though I didn't have any dialogue in this story, I did have a typed out script that described all the action that took place. I think I may have storyboarded the action, though, which isn't something I normally do with my comics, but which suited the wordless format to a T.
- I do like how this story turned out, but I do wish I'd had the knowledge of Photoshop then that I have now. Fading out some of these backgrounds would have been a nice visual punch.
- Getting my characters drunk is one of my oldest comedy devices, but an ironic one as well. Alcohol was repellent to me when I was younger, and drunk people scared the crap out of me. I eventually overcame my hang ups with alcohol, and had my share of inebriation for a year or two in college, but outgrew it soon after. These days I barely drink at all, but I still find comedy in booze, albeit strictly in a fantasy context.
- I love tall, thick-glassed beer mugs. Their bulky designed appeal to me, and are frequently found throughout my work. I still have a circa 1987 Spuds McKenzie beer mug that a friend gave to me at a party, from which I drank no shortage of Vernors Ginger Ale.
