- My initial inspiration for this episode was wanting to tell an entire story with no words. Given that most of Zombie Chick's character comes from her insane dialogue, it was a challenge for sure. But I found going wordless allowed me to be more expressive with Zombie chick's face and body language. In the end, I found it was a very fun experience to do a wordless story, and I've been told by several people that this is one of my best.
- The green dog-looking Minion was loosely based on a character I designed years ago for a story written by an old friend of mine. The story never saw publication, but I've repurposed several of the designs I concocted for it in my own works.
- Whenever I draw a circular panel, I either use a compass with pencil lead, or trace a cup or roll of tape with pencil, then ink it freehand. I'm never able to ink a perfectly smooth circle, but it's still fun to do freehand.
